"The Flood" Official 5th Single Discussion

The X Factor Magazine confirmed Cheryls next single as 'The Flood'.

The single after Promise this will be an enormo-ballad called 'the flood', a massive, string laden, christmassy tear jerker about "wreckage" and "drowning" and "natural disaster love". Be prepared to shed a tear or 3, as cheryl sadly croons, "you cant hold onto water".

analyse away.... :lol:

Ooh this reminds me also of "Here Comes the Flood" by Peter Gabriel. Such a *Ducking* heartbreaking song.

But this isn't too sudden, remember, she already made the video for 3 Words right when Fight For This Love was coming out. She's got her mind set! :D

if vocals are as amazingly good as the end of "promise this" then I'm really gonna like it.
she really surprised me with such a good vocals - never expected that from her although I can't help feeling that it would sound terrible if she sings it live

Just hope that the same thing that happened with the 3 Words single doesn't happen with this. Most people were downloading it from iTunes as an album track and it effected it's chart position when the cd single was released because it had already been available (as an MP3) and in the charts for weeks. That happens with a lot of songs these days though. Eminem & Rihanna's 'Love The Way You Lie' being a very recent one that should have been #1 but wasn't because people were downloading it as an album track weeks before it was officially released
