there is a little bit of truf in it if cheryl dose do x factor USA and makes it big in america ofcourse girls aloud will go there as well but i dont think they would do a worldwide tour strait away

And why would the girls go there just because Cheryl had made it big in America?

Look at it from the standpoint of the record label. You're a record exec. you have Cheryl Cole, big American star, guaranteed to sell millions of albums in America and bring you in lot's of money. On the other hand, you have Girls Aloud, the girl band Cheryl used to be in, unknown in America, not guaranteed to sell well in America just because Cheryl's a member. You have to make a decision, you could

A) Put Cheryl's next money-making album on hold and spend millions of dollars trying to promote Girls Aloud in the hopes that they will crack America as well as Cheryl did, even though best case scenario if they are successful cracking America your record label won't be making any more money they when Cheryl was releasing solo albums since Cheryl would have to put her Solo career on hold to release with Girls Aloud.

or

B) Have the already popular Cheryl release another album as a solo artist, pretty much guaranteeing a large profit.

Now put your personal like of Girls Aloud aside. Put yourself in their shoes, you goal is to make as much money as possible with the least amount or risk. Would you go with the risk of Girls Aloud that could end up costing you a lot of money, or would you go with Cheryl who has already proven to make you large amounts of money?

well if cheryl makes loads of fans in america and the girls reform cheryl fans will buy meaning more money also there hasent been a big worldwide girlgroup since the spice girls so it would be a good investment for the recordcompanies

Just because Cheryl's in the group doesn't mean her fans are going to automatically buy Girls Aloud if they reunite. Some will yes, but it's two different types of music and not all Cheryl fans are going to like Girls Aloud. Also, let's be realistic, how much longer do you think Girls Aloud have left if they do reunite? If Cheryl does crack America successfully, it's probably going to take a couple years to establish herself before she takes any kind of break from her solo career. By then a couple members of the group will be 31 years old and Cheryl will be pushing 30 herself. Is a record company really going to want to risk their time and money trying to have Girls Aloud crack a new market when realistically they are near the end on their career as a group?

No, I think if Girls Aloud do re-untie down the road, the record company will stick to the UK where they are already big. It's to much of a risk for to little reward to try for America.

IF they came back, I think it would at the most only be a studio album and greatest hits tour.

Oh no, Kimberley Walsh says Girls Aloud have no plans to tour next year *sob*
Girls Aloud are not joining up for a tour next year, says's Kimberley Walsh

<br>

KIMBERLEY Walsh says Girls Aloud have no plans to tour next year.

We are starting to miss Girls Aloud and were ecstatic to hear reports that the gorgeous starlets were planning another tour in the next twelve months.

But sadly, OK! columnist Kimberley Walsh has quashed the rumours and says: "There are lots of reports that Girls Aloud are planning to tour again next year.

"I'm sorry to say this isn't true but we'd love to tour again at some point."

God I agree with this sfm. If they're not coming back next year at the latest there's not much point. They've not made quite the impact as the Spice Girls to be doing a massive comeback thing when they've gone past 30 years old.

I agree with you irish22 :greatpost:

Just to add on, Cheryl herself also said that she couldn't see them when they were 30 still together as a band (on Off The Record) so, realisticaly, how much longer do they have? Not long at all, imo.

This would be pretty amazing for the fans that dont live in the UK but i dont think the girls are that popular in other countries.

Doubt this is true anyway.
