Girls Aloud will reunite in 2012 to mark their 10th anniversary, their manager has confirmed.

Hilary Shaw said to expect the five-piece to perform together to mark the milestone. “Everybody wants them to make a comeback and it will be next year. Well, it is their 10th anniversary so there will be something,” she said.

But she added that fans shouldn’t expect a new studio album just yet, as Cheryl Cole is busy with her solo career and her rumoured X Factor USA slot.

As for the other girls, Nicola Roberts is readying a solo LP, Sarah Harding is concentrating on acting and Kimberley Walsh on TV presenting. Nadine Coyle’s album flopped when it was released late last year.

The Girls Aloud boss also insisted that all five members are still good friends, despite rumours of infighting. “The girls are still getting on great, they speak all the time, and that includes Cheryl and Nadine with the other girls,” Hilary told The People. “Cheryl is keen to get back with the girls and is planning something which could be a one-off or some gigs.”

Girls Aloud haven’t recorded together since 2008’s Out Of Control.

Not sure how reliable this is and whether Hillary has actually said it, but it does seem one of the most positive articles we've had so far! Maybe supersonicpr can confirm/deny...

With the news of Miranda Cooper not having left Xemonia and Hillary apparently having said this, my small part of hope that is left for GA's return can't help but get a little excited.

Assuming Hillary said this, it's more reliable than anything else, although, I have doubts Hillary would have commented on the situation, without a personal meeting with the girls, and surley we would have seen pictures of this.

I opened DigitalSpy and saw this! Almost threw the Laptop, hyperventialting!!

The sad thing is it looks like more of a 'Spice Girls World Tour' one off reunion thing which scares me. If Hilary actually said that she says there will be no new material!:(

Also the 10th Anniversary is Decemeber..isn't it?

as others have said the people isnt exactly a reliable source. we just have to wait and see if anyone officially confirms or denys it. i hope its true, i really miss GA
