Nicola Roberts believes the next Girls Aloud album will be made "differently"

The flame-haired singer - who stars in the band with Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh - admits it is likely the group will record a follow-up to their 2008 album Out of Control, but thinks it will not be made in the same way to their previous material.

She said: "We'll make this album differently. If we make a record.

"I'm a different person. I've grown up a hell of a lot since we made our last record. So it's going to be different."

However, the Liverpool-born star admits she still struggles with the music business and finds it "scary".

She added: "No matter how much control you have or how much confidence, it's always in someone else's hands, all the time.

"That's the scariest thing about this industry. It's so political. And sometimes the hands it is in are a**eholes hands. No matter how much you believe in something, how many years you've taken, it's in someone else's hands."

As long as it sounds like a classic Girls Aloud song it should be ok.

I hope it won't be like The Saturdays.vI like their new songs but the previous two albums were better so I hope GA will be still recording POP songs, not 'techno' ones.

I'm still praying for TU vol2 (which is never going to happen :drama:)
OOC was the least GA sounding album. there were a couple of great songs there, but the most amazing songs from OOC era, for me, were b-sides, especially memory of you. that album could have sounded so much more different. don't get me wrong, I like that album a lot but I think that potentially it could have been better.
with TU - I have nothing to criticise, it was a PERFECT record! even though I don't like some songs they fit in that tracklisting. They know what sound they wanted on that album, while with OOC it was a bit mash-up of different kinds of music.

I hope they work with other producers like Stuart Price on this album. His work on Aphrodite is incredible.

And I know Beat of my Drum isn't everyone's cup of tea but I'd really love if they worked with Diplo on a few tracks. I feel it's time for them to start moving away from Xenomania. Imo they really started declining after Tangled Up (except for a few tracks like All Fired Up, Untouchable, The Promise, I Wish etc). I'm not saying I don't want them to work with them but I can't help but feel Xenomania would just throw Call the Shots version 2821738267 at them and make them re-record it 12 times and call it an album. Either that or just give them a bunch of recycled Guetta beats.

This doesn't come as a surprise to me. Artists grow as artists due to their experiences and so their music should evolve to. It could be a good thing.

I hope they get a team (not specifically Xenomania, because what Adam said made sense) together that can give them that specific sound they used to have that made you recognise GA... while still listening to a completely different song than they had previously released. A team that is able to combine 'their' pop with different music styles so that we can enjoy listening to a revived, but still trusted, Girls Aloud.

Think nearly everyone would love a TU part #2.. or even better! I'd love songs with rock/Drum-'n-Bass (DnB, pretty popular right now) influences like SOTU, midtempo tracks like Call The Shots & music mixed with other styles such as ska (Control of the Knife), songs inspired by earlier the 1930s - 1960s with a modern twist to them, original pop like Biology and Swinging London Town...  Ohh keep on dreaming.

No generic sh!t like All Fired Up from The Saturdays (no offence TS fans) please. Or most of the music present in the charts now, really...

All of Sats' music are generic to the core.

I just hope Xenomania are back properly for this.

As long as its quirky and in the same vein as WWTNS? and TU then I'm happy!
